Architecture Configuration Security Review

2Secure’s Architecture Configuration Security Review allows for an efficient security review of a complete IT-environment. The review focuses on verifying that each component within an IT-system has a secure and robust configuration and that they adhere to corporate standards and security best practices.

The review is tailored to the clients IT-environment and typically includes a review of configuration settings for operating systems, application servers and backend database servers.

The Architecture Configuration Security Review focuses on several areas including network security, authentication, access controls, auditing and patch management. We regularly perform Architecture Configuration Security Reviews against a large number of different components, for example:

  • Operating systems: Microsoft Windows, Sun Solaris, IBM Aix, HP UX, Linux
  • Database servers: Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle RDBMS, MySQL
  • Application servers: Bea weblogic, Apache Tomcat, JBoss, MS Internet Informations Server, Websphere, Apache
  • As an add-on to the Architecture Configuration Security Review, 2Secure support clients with developing checklists for system hardening. The checklists are based on Best Security Practice and can be used within IT-processes such as System Deployment and Configuration Management.
